No matter how long you have been involved with children’s ministry, you always have more to learn. I want to try to post a snippet of wisdom every Wednesday – things that have made me think and that I hope will cause you to think too.
This really has some powerful implications. We think that our words are just that: our own. When we work with kids, though, our words become more; they begin shape a child’s inner voice. Now, we’re all human and will all make mistakes, say things that we wish we hadn’t. While the things we say in these moments of frustration can affect kids, what is more important is the way we choose to talk to kids on a regular basis. So, how are you talking to your children?
