Fillmore Kids wouldn’t exist without volunteers. It’s that simple. As hard as I might try, there just isn’t any way I could single-handedly care for twenty-five-ish children ranging from ages 0 to 12 every Sunday morning. I rely on volunteer staff every week and I want to make sure that they know how much I appreciate them! They dedicate themselves to taking care of infants and toddlers, leading small groups during J.A.M. Time, helping out during children’s church, and so much more. Really…
A little cheesy? Sure, but I saw this idea for volunteer appreciation on Pinterest and couldn’t resist making a Fillmore version. Here is a view of the whole project:
I took the names of every single volunteer – from once-a-quarter nursery volunteers to weekly J.A.M. Time leaders – and wrote them on construction paper leaves. From there, I just attached them to the door frame leading up to the children’s wing. Simple, but I think it’s a fun way to recognize all that volunteers contribute.
What are some ways that you choose to show your volunteers your appreciation?
