Every Halloween, our church holds a huge Harvest Bash. We have games, prizes, candy, crafts, bounce houses, hot apple cider, and more! It’s really a great time for our church body and for the entire community. This year, though, I decided to have the kids help to contribute to the event. Families in the church donate bags of candy to use as prizes, so we are using some of the donated lollipops to share the love of Jesus!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Pretty simple, just some lollipops, coloring materials, and the poem printed on card stock (Here’s The Love of Jesus is So Sweet – Template I created). In case you can’t read it, the card says “The love of Jesus is so sweet! This candy is sweet, but melts away. Christ Jesus’ love is here to stay. He died for you and rose again. His love for you will never end. Made just for you by the kids at Fillmore Wesleyan Church.”
Give each of the children a piece of the card stock with the poem and have them decorate it any way they choose. You can get the idea from this one that I made:
Simple, but a great way for the kids to share the love of Jesus with their community! Could even be fun to make as a family and hand them out when trick-or-treaters come a-knockin’ 🙂
Hi there! I am so thankful that Google made your site pop up for this candy quote idea. I have been looking at tracts for Halloween and just can’t find one that us upbeat and not scary. This is perfect! I want to LOVE! These will be passed out in BY this year 🙂

I’m so glad to hear that, Kelseylynn! Our kids loved making these and passing them out. I hope that you do too!
Love this!
These are great! I’m going to do these for when my Sunday School kids do a presentation in front of the Church. It covers everything we have learned this term. I was really stuck for an idea as to what the kids could hand out and am so thankful I came across this on Pinterest. Thank you 😃
I love this and I’m going to do this for our girls club for a lesson on Sharing. Is it ok to use your template but put our church’s name on it?
Sure!
